NHS-Funded Treatment at Herts & Essex Fertility Clinic Frequently Asked Questions
NHS funding arrangements are determined by your local Integrated Care Board (ICB). We are in partnership with the following ICBs: Mid & South Essex, North East London and North Central London (see maps). Remember, your local area is determined by your local GP address rather than your home address. If we have a contract with your local ICB you can be referred for NHS-funded treatment.
It starts with your GP who will assess your situation, and arrange preliminary fertility investigations. Some ICBs will require a referral to your local NHS fertility clinic for further assessment before referring to us. However, some ICBs allow direct referral from a GP.
We are located in Cheshunt on junction 25 (A10) of the M25, and within easy reach of the M11, M1 and A12. The clinic has a private barrier controlled car park that is free of charge with limited spaces available for patients. By train we are 20 minutes from Liverpool Street Station to Cheshunt Station and Theobald Grove Station or local buses to our doorstep.
