Two boys for two mummies

My wife, Holly, and I began our journey with Herts & Essex 4 years ago – we entered the egg share programme and Holly was fortunate enough to have 14 eggs collected; 7 for us and 7 for her recipient.

Holly had one embryo transferred and had a positive pregnancy test – 9 months later we welcomed our gorgeous boy Oakley on 8/8/2020, Oakley is now 3 and a half and the most special boy.

Early last year we began our next step and started the egg-sharing IVF journey again with myself, unfortunately; after successful scans and a high follicle count, only 7 eggs were retrieved and only 4 viable enough to be fertilised so we were unable to share any of my eggs. This was a big blow to us as it had become a very important part of our journey.

On day 5 we only had one embryo that was strong enough to be transferred and 9 months later we welcomed our second beautiful boy, Acer. Acer is now 4 months old and we feel truly blessed to have two amazing children and we owe it to all of you at Herts & Essex. We have always felt fully supported by the clinic, communication was perfect, the staff was kind and understanding and we cannot recommend you enough.

Thank you so so much for helping us create our amazing family.

Love you
Amy and Holly
