The embryo that became our beautiful baby daughter, Evangeline

Anyone struggling with infertility will know how scary and lonely it can be.
We found that at the Herts & Essex clinic we felt like we were the only patients they had to treat. There is always someone to speak to whether it’s on the phone, email or the app and everyone is so invested in your story and treatment. The staff aren’t just there to help you conceive and show you how to do injections, they are there for hugs on the days you’re finding the treatment hard or the days when you don’t know if you can keep going with it.
This time last year, after our first round of IVF (ICSI) we had our strongest embryo put back in me and we are so incredibly blessed that that embryo became our beautiful baby daughter.
To anyone going through treatment, it is hard so be kind to yourself. It can often feel intrusive to talk to people in the waiting rooms, but some of the best days during treatment for me were the days I was able to speak to someone who understood what I was going through so don’t be afraid to say hello to other people at the clinic.
