Following Alex’s testicular cancer diagnosis…

Following Alex’s testicular cancer diagnosis in Autumn 2020, we were convinced that we wouldn’t be lucky enough to have another child. However, we really wanted to try, especially to give a sibling to our son. After enough time had passed following Alex’s last chemotherapy session, we contacted Herts & Essex to see if they could help us complete our family. The team was incredible and supported us through the IVF process. We were finally blessed with a beautiful, healthy pregnancy in the summer of 2023 (via a frozen embryo transfer), and our baby boy Frank was born in March 2024 weighing almost 11 lbs. He is the happiest, smiliest baby ever – and his older brother loves him to pieces.

If you are just starting your fertility journey, please don’t give up. At times I really believed it wouldn’t work for us, but I am so glad we kept going. We still can’t believe he’s here. We are eternally grateful to the team for helping us.
