After 7 years, 5 operations and 5 rounds of failed IVF, Mabel finally arrived

I just wanted to let you know Mabel arrived on 12/06/24 weighing 6.4lb.

She is utterly perfect. After 7 years, 5 operations and 5 rounds of failed IVF at a prior clinic, we cannot explain our gratitude to Herts & Essex Fertility Centre that our 6th round of IVF (but first with you) finally worked.

We had a bit of a tricky birth due to my endometriosis causing bowl and uterus adhesions. I was in theatre for 3 hours and needed bowl surgery and a blood transfusion. Mabel popped into special care briefly but that was mainly fluid on her lungs from being 38 weeks gestation and C-section baby. We came home after a week though and all doing really well. Mabel is already over her birth weight!
