Emily began her career as an embryologist in 2011 after graduating from Durham University with a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science. During her training, she was awarded an MSc with Distinction in Reproductive Science from Nottingham University as well as achieving her state registration with the HCPC. Following this, she obtained international embryology experience working at clinics in New York, Mexico City and Guadalajara. Since returning to the UK Emily has trained in and practised blastocyst biopsy for PGT-a testing, and has subsequently developed a keen interest in genetic screening techniques. Outside of the lab, Emily has an enthusiasm for patient support and wellbeing, having created a patient support group and an online forum for patients at her former clinic.
