With only a few days to go until The Fertility Show (Olympia 2-3 November) and National Infertility Awareness Week underway, the Herts & Essex Fertility Centre is quite caught up in the buzz and anticipation that always accompanies these events. As well as meeting many new potential patients it is a great opportunity to catch up with our colleagues in the IVF world, listen to the seminars that take place during the day (useful and informative for us as well as the patients), and enjoy making our own contribution to these with our own talks. In the past we have spoken on egg donation and egg sharing and this year our consultant David Ogutu is giving ‘A beginners guide to the fertility rollercoaster’ – on the Sunday at 12.30 if you get a chance to join us.
We seem to have become quite famous for our innovative exhibition giveaways over the years. The sperm shaped stress balls have to have been the best. In fact a few years ago we had a competition to ‘guess the sperm count’ and our stand was taken over by a giant test tube filled with the sperm stress balls! It was a great way to attract attention and break the ice with our visitors.
This year our competition is to ‘guess the name of the baby’ (animal!). One lucky winner will receive a voucher for two people for an Indulgence Spa Day at Hanbury Manor in Hertfordshire. In addition, our friends at Fertility Road magazine have offered us 10 one-year subscriptions to the magazine, so you may just win something.
We would love to meet you. Our team of experts will be on hand to chat with you about all aspects of fertility and the treatments available. See you all there!
