Michael Ah-Moye FRCOG

Medical Director/Consultant Gynaecologist

Michael, our Medical Director, graduated at The London Hospital Medical College (University of London) in 1976. He set up the Herts & Essex Fertility Centre (formerly known as the Essex Fertility Centre at Holly House Hospital, Buckhurst Hill) in 1989. He has almost 30 years’ experience working exclusively in the field of IVF and Assisted Conception since 1984, initially in the NHS. The following year in 1985, together with two other gynaecologists he was a founder member of The Fertility & IVF Unit at the private Wellington Hospital in London under the directorship of Professor Craft renowned for his pioneering work in IVF and being the second person in the UK to produce an IVF baby after Mr Steptoe. The Unit quickly became the largest and busiest IVF unit in the world performing over 3500 IVF cycles per year. Michael was Deputy Medical Director when he left in 1989 to start his own independent IVF centre.

Michael is a member of the British Fertility Society, the European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.

Michael’s impressive experience and expertise in Assisted Conception has resulted in the successful and safe delivery of thousands of babies and in the creation of thousands of happy new families. Widely renowned for his medical prowess, he is equally respected for his meticulous, caring and personal approach to all his patients.

Consultant Gynaecologist/Fertility Specialist/Clinician Person Responsible to the HFEA

David joined us as Consultant Gynaecologist and Fertility Specialist in 2011. He graduated from medical school in 1999 and received specialist training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at the Royal Free Hospital and North Middlesex University Hospital, followed by advanced training in Assisted Conception, Reproductive Endocrinology and Laparoscopic Surgery at King’s College Hospital, London.

David is a member of the British Fertility Society, the European Society for Human Reproduction & Embryology, the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy, and the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. David regularly teaches and addresses fertility conferences.

Jyoti Taneja MRCOG DFSRH

Jyoti Taneja MRCOG DFSRH

Consultant Gynaecologist/Fertility Specialist

Jyoti is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, and a Diplomate of the Faculty of Sexual & Reproductive Health, UK. She did her Specialist Registrar Rotation Training at some of London’s top university teaching hospitals: the prestigious University College Hospital, Barts and The Royal London, Royal Free Hospital and Guy’s and St Thomas’s Hospital. Jyoti is an active member of learned societies which include the British Fertility Society, European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology, and International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She is also an active member of the British Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy and the European Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy.

A mother of two lively boys, Jyoti is passionate about helping couples and individuals achieve their dream of parenthood. She firmly believes that individualised care is key to the continual improvement of success rates. With a keen interest in all advances in reproductive technology, Jyoti has a special interest in Reproductive Immunology and in treating women born without a uterus, such as MRKH syndrome.

Ramesan Navaratnarajah MRCP MRCOG

Consultant Gynaecologist/Fertility Specialist

Ram is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist whose reproductive medicine and surgical consulting work involves assisted conception (IVF, ICSI and IUI), early pregnancy care, recurrent miscarriage, endometriosis and PCOS. He also performs advanced gynaecology scanning, including HyCoSy, uterine cavity imaging and gynaecological 3D ultrasound.

Ram is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London Hospitals, where he also trained in infertility and laparoscopic surgery, and he then went on to complete a laparoscopic surgery fellowship in Clermont-Ferrand and Lyon in France

Kamilia El Farra FRCOG

Consultant Gynaecologist/Fertility Specialist

Kamilia has worked in gynaecology for 27 years and as a consultant for the last 15 years. She is a fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and has worked in IVF and assisted conception since 1992 at the Royal London and Barts Hospitals. In addition, she has helped establish the Assisted Conception Unit at Queen Mary’s, Roehampton. Her special interest is infertility, recurrent miscarriage, she is also an experienced laparoscopic surgeon with an emphasis on endometriosis management. Further to her extensive medical training, she has a Masters Degree in Medical Law and Ethics.

We are delighted to have Kamilia now consulting at the Herts & Essex Fertility Centre.
