Medical Secretary/Administration Manager
Apart from the founding members of the Herts & Essex Fertility Centre, Sharon has been the longest serving member of the team: omnipresent and ever-reliable. She joined us in 1997 and previously worked for the occupational healthcare department at British Rail and at the British Medical Association.
Vicky has been a part of the Herts & Essex team since 2007. As Finance Manager she makes sure that the Centre’s funding is smooth and seamless, allowing our senior Management team to concentrate solely on our patients’ needs. Originally a construction supervisor in the USA, she later developed her skills for eleven years in the Finance department of a transport planning company in the UK before joining us. Vicky is a qualified CIPP in Payroll and CIPD in Human Resources.
Carol is probably the first person to greet and offer you a warm welcome on your arrival at the Centre. She joined us as our receptionist in 2001 and is excellent at providing friendly assistance for any enquiries or problems you may have.
Receptionist and Administrator
Catherine joined us as a Receptionist and Administrator in January 2013. Like Carol, she is one of the first people you will meet on arrival at the Centre.
Angela is a vital member of our Finance team and an invaluable assistant for the past ten years. Our association commenced while we were based at Holly House Hospital. Her previous experience was in credit control at Burberry for eight years and prior to that she worked for seven years as a chef with the British Armed Forces.
Nicola is in charge of Patients’ Medical records and ensures that all are in perfect order. She answers hundreds of patient enquiries via phone and email, books appointments and prepares patient notes in readiness for use at consultations. Nicola records all the pregnancy and delivery outcomes – a rewarding role she enjoys, and finds time to help out in the Finance office on occasion.
Donor Programme Coordinator
Caroline joined Herts & Essex in September 2015 as our Egg Donor Administrator. Caroline assists within the Egg Donation team, dealing with varied enquiries from patients seeking fertility treatment through donation.
Abbie joined our administration team as an office junior in June 2015. Abbie left school with a very impressive14 GCSE’s, an A-level in science and a diploma in photography. Always smiling, Abbie started out at Herts & Essex working in every area of the office administration, from welcoming patients on arrival, preparing patient notes, booking appointments and efficiently answering your calls and general enquiries. Abbie very quickly progressed her role and now concentrates solely on the laboratory administration, seamlessly supporting the embryology team with the day-to-day laboratory administration tasks.
Having worked in the design and marketing environment for 15 years, Sally made the move from an agency marketing role to working solely with us in May 2015. A new venture for the Centre, Sally’s role encompasses all areas of communication of the wider fertility industry, and of our fertility services and treatments to potential patients, other health professionals and associated charities. Ensuring that our website provides the most up-to-date and easily accessible information to its visitors, she researches industry trends, develops traditional print, digital and social media campaigns, and maintains our printed materials.
